At 06:30 AM (GMT +3) on October 7, 2023 hundreds of Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorists from the Gaza Strip, carried out a series of coordinated surprise attacks against Israel by land, sea, and air. Armed terrorist militants penetrated Israel’s borders, seized villages, attacked civilians, and captured soldiers. Called Operation al-Aqsa Storm, HAMAS carried out a well-planned & coordinated offensive that started with thousands of rockets fired into Israeli cities and opened opportunities for pinpoint ground assaults by terrorist teams on foot, dropping bombs from drones, and even infiltrating Israel by using light paraglider aircraft.
The Hamas claims they fired 5,000 rockets at the Initial Salvo after the first half day 2,500 were recorded.
