I'm Here To Defend Democracy. You?
I've left the battlefield in Ukraine to take up the battle to save democracy in America. And Hoo boy, are we in trouble.
The anniversary of December 7, 1941 was held this week and it heralded a typical phenomenon that we are seeing amongst Trump supporters who consider themselves educated … they prove themselves absolute fools. They often do not understand the basics of American history but cannot keep their ignorance to themselves. For example, reserve US Navy lieutenant commander Sean Spicer, formally the press secretary for Donald Trump stated that December 7, was the anniversary of "D-Day", a day that he proclaimed will live in infamy. Well, he was half right. It was infamous but the name of the invasion of France in 1944 was the wrong anniversary for Pearl Harbor. Spicer’s idiocy reminded all of us of what a horrible Press Secretary he was. Let’s not even mention his appearance on Dancing with the Stars. But Spicer’s tweet was a metaphor for the coming collapse of what was once the most influential platform in social media today, Twitter. This is why I am now on …
