We Could be at War in Iran for a Decade
Apparently no one in the White House or the Pentagon reads history. The United States spent 12 years bombing air defense and targets in Iraq and we didn't stop until we invaded.

One week into the US – Israeli versus Iran war, it appears the armed forces of the two allied countries are headed into a period where they will have at least regional air supremacy over parts of Iran. What this means is that the US Navy and Air Force will be able to fly over parts of Iran uncontested.
However, neither Israel nor the United States will be able to have much impact within the country of Iran simply because there is no one there to be the beneficiary of the strikes.
The United States may certainly fly aircraft around Iran and bomb individual targets from time to time, including drone and ballistic missile launchers from medium to high altitude with fighter aircraft and MQ-9 Reaper drones. However, what will not happen is anything that is going on in the nation of Iran, apart from the occasional assassination of a leader who displeases President Donald Trump.
