My opinion is I post truth on social media. Some MAGA will try and argue. I do or don’t respond, depends. I feel some will never change because they LIKE the chaos happening. There’s still more people jumping ship.
I also post truth on social media often with a link to news article or study/data which proves my point. I try and never make personal insults. I find that the MAGAs almost always start or finish with a personal insult (you're an idiot, bitch, etc., you've drunk the left wing koolaid, etc. etc.). I have been at this for more than ten years. On FB almost every single MAGA person I know has blocked me, including the Jan6th guy who's last post that I saw on Jan 6th was "OhMyGod What have We Done?" LinkedIn has only recently (in my circle) become political, and from the posts, these people don't get out much and have no idea the hypocrisy of their positions. It is though they exist only on a diet of Fox News. In January I broke contact - yes, I blocked HIM - with a dear oil biz friend of 30 years with whom I had been discussing politics, capitalism etc for the last 2 years. He simply could not believe - Could Not Believe - that left or moderate positions had any economic or social merit at all, regardless of the data I showed him, and considered Kamala Harris 'scary'. Georgia, President Andrew Jackson responded by declaring that "[Chief Justice] John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it." That constitutes a declaration of war against the Rule of Law and the integrity of the Constitution and the nation.
Fast forward to today, and the same challenge is playing out in real-time with very dire consequences. As you mentioned, Trump is the Commander in Chief who pardoned the 1600 insurgents who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6. This is the President whose first action was to fire the top military JAG officials and to nominate for Secretary of Defense a dishonorable sycophant loyal only to Trump, not the Constitution, the nation, or the integrity of the Armed Forces. If SCOTUS makes a decision, will the military enforce it? After listening to you guys, I feel confident the answer is "yes".
I vividly remember photos of the Armed Forces occupying the Capitol Building to restore order after the Insurrection. I found it shameful they were not better supported in their mission, having to sleep on hard marble floors without proper logistical support. Without complaint, they did their duty with honor, courage, and commitment, returning the seat of government to civilian leadership when the threat (Donald Trump) was removed and security restored. That was a trial run, as many have stated, and the next skirmish will be much more intense - a full-scale war. I hope the Armed Forces this time will be fully prepared to engage in a "lawful mutiny" with full force and intention.
