I subscribed to you a while back but did not receive your messages until this week. Please make sure that I get them regularly from now on. BTW, I'm a Vietnam Vet (Delta Co, 187th Infantry--the Rakkasans--and was so impressed by your decision to report for duty in Ukraine that I wanted to go. but my wife said it would be divorce! She says she will do the same if I ever jump out of an airplane again but I will be sneaky and do it again without telling her, maybe when I turn 80 is a few years!.
Laura Benanti to star in two shows for Kamala Harris
(Tony award winner who has been breaking up Stephen Colbert for years with her iconic Melania Trump impersonation..........(I have never missed one of these........since the iconic plagerism skit)
This was so great and awesome to hear your voice. The excitement in your voice and of being at the convention, everything you witnessed. Ukraine village in Chicago and speaking to them. All in all, thank you
Malcolm. You are a national treasure. Stay safe/your family too and everyone.❤️
The DNC offered to pay for my flight and hotel but I wasn’t able to go, I felt it was too dangerous for me, mainly bc my caretaking job has become hospice and I promised to care for him, instead of a bad nursing home. I quit my job working at a casino in 2015 to care for him. I did watch most of the convention on PBS, whatever I missed I did go back online to watch & listen. Truth, Love & Joy, I witnessed, just what I needed.
Thank you for this update and your thoughts on the DNC. One would expect that by now that intense excitement might have fallen off, but I know that for me and all my fellow ol' lady friends we are as fired up as we have ever been about politics in this country. Insane is right. But in the good way, not like the evil orange. What are my friends doing? So far I have learned that my pals are door knockers, postcard writers, donators to candidates up and down the ballots, letter writers, and some more I can't think of at the moment. I am donating to some down ticket stars I have learned about and writing about that.
But here's what I really wanted to tell you, Malcolm Nance. I have a cousin who served in the army (as I have always been of him) and is very proud of that service but in the last few decades, he has leaned pretty strongly right, with strong traces of racism (which has really ticked me off because we are Jewish). Well, imagine my surprise when I got a call last Friday and Cousin asked if I saw the DNC. "Oh boy, heeeere we go," I thought with dread. Cousin: I think she's going to make an incredibly good president.
Me: What?!
Cousin: Kamala... I think she is going to be a wonderful president.
Me: stunned silence
Cousin: You don't think so?
Me: (regaining my composure) Yes, I love her and donate to her campaign (and I said some more stuff)
Cousin: and I really like that VP she picked!
Me: (what the hell happened to my trumpy cousin?) Yes yes, absolutely love Walz.
Well we spoke for about a half hour, and I kept mentioning how I was donating (to down ballot candidates in his state) because I don't think he has, but I know he's loaded, and he knows I'm dirt poor, and I thought maybe I'd give him some ideas. He did ask how I donate- online? By mail? So I told him all about that and how easy it was to donate online, and I've never had a problem with it in terms of security.
I would like to think that I had some influence in his sudden and surprising movement over to my side of the lane, but I think not. I think it was his stepdaughter. And maybe his wife, but definitely his stepdaughter.
Viva the Young People!
I just had to tell you that story.🇺🇸😁🇺🇸
Thanks again for your tales from the DNC. It was energizing to hear it!
Thank you yet again for your work, I look forward to each and every video and newsletter and have read your books. I'm not military but I have two sons and both are vets, one a service academy graduate. So you can imagine how I feel about The Dump and his disgusting anti-military antics. They feel the same.
The DNC was pure joy, most of the speeches were very inspiring. I appreciated the vet night, everyone who spoke, their military and political service and especially Leon Panetta's words. The side by sides of the RNC roll call and the DNC's are hilarious. It's super gratifying to hear about all the music and dancing. We've earned it, no?
Thanks for the convention summary. Chicago is a fun place in the summer without a convention. It's amazing how everything turned in the course of a month. Harris-Walz needs to be on the attack EVERYWHERE! What they did in rural Georgia can work in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, and many other states. They're going to the people. Parts of the map that a month ago weren't in play now are very much in play. Let's get to work!!💪💪👍🇺🇸
It was great seeing you post on YouTube & here. & Im still enjoying it. Glad about some of these points you mentioned in your video. Looking forward to seeing & reading more.
Malcolm, I wish I could have been there for the democratic convention. Watching on local stations, I felt the excitement and sheer joy, non the less. My only gripe was the media’s decision to cut, all of the entertainment and only show, what they wanted to show. They talked over, lots of the speakers and entertainment, leaving the full impact of this historical event on the cutting room floor.
Malcolm, I enjoyed your joy about the DNC. Thank you for your report.
I was relieved to hear that the extortionistic threats made by a small number of anti-Israel protestors (ala 'our way or no way') were rejected. In the Middle East, such absolutism forces errors and creates catastrophes. In the west, the heartfelt humanity for Gazan civilians was undermined when intertwined with assorted tropes of hatred or when decoupled from similar sympathy for the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

Great update! Thx.
Most excellent!
Thank you for your update today! You are a treasure! I agree with your observation about Ukraine!
Agreed. People are tired of feeling down about everything.
