You make the most beautiful argument for belief and the power of love. I’ve been widowed almost 16 years & still feel the loss profoundly. I will read & reread this as we claw ourselves from the edge of the abyss.
Thank you Mr. Nance. I too have spoken to President Washington while lingering by his carriage house in NYC. It is one of only a few wooden structures remaining here. It must appear odd a girl talking into the air for help from his angel. Godspeed and I too have been compelled to the knee in prayer. We will remain resolute. Thank you sir.
I will never say that I am more American because I served. At the same time, I feel the attack on our nation deeply and the fear that some Americans are so secure in the safety of how "things have always" worked they will not acknowledge the danger. I am retired but the oath I took never will. I will fight. Thanks for the reminder Senior Chief.
Perhaps the best written piece I’ve read in many years. Your heart and soul is poured out and displayed gallantly in this work. I can see my Father on the island of Iwo Jima in the WW II kneeling in prayer as he defended this nation at its time of eminent Crisis too when I read these lines. Like your wife, He left this world so young, but he too left us a small thing that grows strong in one’s Heart; -Faith, a Faith that blossoms into Hope and finally bears the Fruit of Trust.
It is that Trust in a once fledgling nation that we stand upon now just as we kneel upon these sacred grounds and honor those who’ve fallen in our Great Victory…
Malcolm, I do believe we will win this battle and I know also there will be a bigger War to win again and Again. Stand Strong my Friend &
It was great to hear from you Chief.
Thank you for ALL you’ve done and continue to do, Malcolm.
Beautiful and powerful call to defend our nation at the ballot box, Chief. Thank you for all you do and will continue to do.
Those who love the most, suffer the most but are eternally victorious 🐈⬛💙

We must succeed.
Widow ... worst job in the world right?
So much more so when facing dangers like these with more than half of oneself shredded, missing or scarred ...
Thank you for this heartfelt contribution to the struggle for our nation’s democracy. Very powerfully written.

Thank you Malcolm for your strength and determination. I am praying for our nation. We must win.
Thank you, Chief. Your wife is proud of you and I'm sure she brags on you in heaven. General Washington is watching over us. YES! We will win!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you for your Service Honorable Sailor
This is so true. I am crying as I write this.
Malcolm, I am so sorry for your grief. We shall overcome.
I needed this today Malcolm. Yes, we will win.
You are an electrifying soul and I am grateful for your presence every single day.
I sent you an in-depth DM months ago and it looks like it remains unread. I really hope you will read it at some point.
